The idea of clothes being anything more than a utilitarian object, like a screwdriver or a watch, had never occurred to me until seventh grade when my father's old Army jacket I'd worn for years was suddenly in vogue.
I'm an artist and author. My newest non-fiction book, "Satellite Boy: The International Manhunt for a Master Thief That Launched the Modern Communication Age," will be available from Counterpoint Press on 3/21/23.
